Why Carbonara?
You know, we love cycling and bikes.
But what we love most of all is doing what we want.
We like to try things out and decide on a whim.
Anyway, if you don't move forward, you go backwards, as the other one would say.
So when our frame builder told us: " Guys, you know that we do carbon too? And we do it really well! "
We looked at each other.
The thing is that for a Gravel bike, we didn't really see the point.
Yes, it would be lighter, it would be more this, more that, than aluminium...
But hey, we don't really care, right?
What we want for setting off on an adventure is a nice bike, not too heavy, responsive and which doesn't break your heart when you smash it on a rock...
Paula and Scapada 's aluminium is perfect for that!
As for the road, however, you know, it's another story...
There are the marginal gains, the nitpicking about Watts, about ceramic bearings and all that.
The thing is, there are a ton of carbon road bikes on the market.
So we decided to create our own,with our own recipe*.
We had a quick word with Gino (who wasn't very keen at first) and that's it!
Carbonara was born!
