Scapada is a truly extraordinary bike.
He shares some of Paula 's DNA certainly, but it differs in many aspects that I will detail below.
Despite this, the disgruntled might say the following:
Let's cut this nonsense short.
In white it's Scapada. In black, Paula.
Look at the wheelbase to start.
Paula is a particularly short Gravel bike for the category and yet, in comparison, Scapada is still much shorter.
Now look at the seat tube and head tube. In terms of angles, Scapada is much tighter, with a lower cockpit and a more advanced seat.
It's good ? Convinced of the difference between the two?
So this “aggressive” geometry, where does it come from?
Well, we took stock of the fastest bikes of the moment and compiled the results.
You have a summary table of the most important dimensions below:
You don't really like numbers?
Look at this beautiful gif
In white it is Scapada, in black it is the bike to which it is compared.
In other words, ithey're pretty much all the same.
You will note, however, that our top tube is more horizontal than the competition.
Apart from aesthetics, this choice has practically no influence.
We just like the “old-fashioned” look, with the good old timeless double triangle design.
Just in case, if by chance and for some obscure reason, you want to get a bike from the aforementioned brands, be careful when choosing the size. A 54 or a Medium for some may be a 51 or an S for others.
Brief. You're convinced. Scapada has fighter jet geometry.
But wait a second.
You might tell yourself that a fast bike is cool.
But you may also be thinking that it's too much after all and that a bike with a more relaxed geometry would be more suitable for riding far and for a long time?
A geometry a little closer to the so-called “endurance” bikes that you can find from most manufacturers?
Legitimate question.
I can bring you out a table with lots of numbers to answer it or... give you a great Gif straight away...
I'm too predictable but be careful, there is a catch.
In white it's Paula on 32mm tires, in black it's the bike it's compared to on 32mm tires as well.
There you go, I think you understand.
Our endurance bike (in the sense given to it by the marketing teams of other brands) is Paula.
With two pairs of wheels, you really have a do-it-all bike. And do everything well!
Now, as seen above, if you're looking for that extra hint of speed and fun, well Scapada is for you.
Yes Scapada is more demanding. Yes, you will need to be more involved to get its full potential.
For sure. But the pleasure you will have riding it will be incredible.
It's a playful bike that will constantly push you to stand up on the pedals.
Believe me, you won't wear out your saddle much!
All good ? Have a look at the geometry chart below to find the best suited size for you !
